Oh, YES! I never thought I would see the creeper world games on GOG. Wishliterino'ed!

Does this mean GOG is getting the demo?

Nah. The series fell victim to today all-encompassing 3D-plague. Older 2D parts are better by miles in both presentation and gameplay terms.
Never heard of this. Seems fun. Also, that's how to do a "trailer" video and store page -- flavor and fluff, but also actually shows how the game goes.
Please get all the other Creeper World games on here! I own them on Steam, but would buy them again on GOG (and play them through for about the fourth time!)

It controls like an RTS in the Supreme Commander mode.

Your enemy, the creeper, is a liquid that destroys any building it comes in contact with, pouring endlessly out of emitter structures. Depending on the space and depth of the creeper, different weapons like cannons and mortars can do more damage.

While most of your units are "towers," they can detach from the ground and float to a new point at will. A key part of this game is maintaining an energy grid so packets of power can reach your towers to keep them firing.

The goal for the most part is to beat back the onslaught of the creeper far enough to build a structure right next to the emitters and shut them down.

Hope that helps!
The developer of this game has fantastic taste in boardgames thats for sure. This game looks like it is inspired by Go instead of Chess. Gonna wishlist this one for now.

I really love the games of this dev !
Creeper World games are absolutely awesome, and I can't wait for this one ! I'm waiting since lot of time already X)

For people wondering how this plays, you can try the demo of the older games of the serie on the developper website :
http://knucklecracker.com/common/demo.php
(CW4 should be pretty close to Creeper World 3 ;))

Very nice to see this coming here with a potential release slated for December. :) I've only played through the first game thus far, and I played a bit of the CW3 demo. Here's to hoping that his older games will come here, too.

I love watching the guy's sporadic video devlog on his youtube channel. The most recent one was in October that gives a good look at what the game is all about. That said, some mechanics may not be all that obvious to complete newcomers.
Insta-wishlisted! I played all three games and while the second one is the weakest they are all great!

I think that exploring a 3D implementation of these gameplay mechanics is kind of the entire reason he's made a fourth one.

The switch to a side view in the second game is what made it an interesting sequel rather than an incremental refinement of the first.
The third one returned to the overhead view with some fresh ideas but ultimately it's a more complex version of the first game.
The fourth one being in 3D allows him to effectively combine ideas from the overhead and side-view 2D games into one and I welcome it.

You make it sound as if he's made it 3D because of some kind of pressure to move to 3D like what was experienced by point and click adventures back in the early 2000s. Pretty sure he's made a considered choice here rather than been pressured by a stupid publisher.

GOG.com: ...
Bring the first three here! And Particle Fleet!

We can do better than that! On Steam there is a CW4 demo, so you ccan try the actual game -

why? what is wrong with it? I have spent a little time with the demo, and I quite like it. My least favorite CW game so far is number 2, and it was 2D.

(and I am a big KnuckelCracker fan)

Of course !
But these demos are Steam-free :3 (there will certainly be a demo for CW4 on the website when the game will be out btw !)
But thanks for pointing it for people using steam ;)

Aye, so far VirgilW have made demos of all his game on his site (https://knucklecracker.com/). It is also where I am going to buy this game, directly from the developer, as I think that he deserves as large cut as possible (blatant product placement)
CW4 is going to be available on GOG?? This makes me very, very pleased indeed.
